The film focuses on Wade Perkins, a fifty-five year old motivational speaker at the end of his rope. After learning of his younger brothers demise, he embarks on an alcoholic bender through middle America accompanied by a mysterious young woman named Sweetheart. Their short love affair is captured in a series of poetic and piercing scenes en route to Wade's brothers funeral.

Radúz and Radovid have only just crossed the border when an army commanded by Runa detains them. The white deer that Radúz has killed belongs to the youngest of Stojmír's three daughters, the beautiful and delicate Mahulena.

On the other hand, Minister claims that the Secret Service has made everything up trying to compromise him. Despotovic is puzzled... Who is lying? Who is telling the truth? Who is insane? Aged only 16, Duncan had already showcased his filmmaking talents on a series of award-winning short pieces made for Fair Go's annual programme devoted to commercials. With DFK6498, he channels his recent experiences into a short, stylishly-shot memoir of incarceration, frustration and freedom lost. The film went on to win a trio of awards at Wanganui's River City Film Festival and win praise from director Peter Jackson.
